Sunday 19th to Wednesday 22nd April 2020

We will be staying at the 4* Marriott Hotel in Swansea Bay

We will leave around 8 a.m. with a coffee stop en route, arriving in the picturesque village of Laycock in the late morning. The village has featured in many TV and film productions. There will be time to visit the Abbey, the Fox Talbot photographic museum, the Victorian woodlands and have lunch (not included). Leaving mid afternoon we continue to the hotel.

In the morning we visit the Royal Mint and the Museum which has a collection of British coins of unrivalled importance and we will learn about the design and manufacture of our coinage.

Our next stop will be Cardiff Bay with free time for lunch (not included). We then enjoy a guided tour of the city and a boat trip on the Bay. Return to the hotel.

Morning visit to the Bronwydd Arms Station to catch the steam train for a 1.25 hours round trip on the Gwilli Steam Railway. In the afternoon we head for the National Botanic Garden of Wales. The Great Glasshouse has been named in the top 10 of must- see UK gardening attractions.
